| Thankful that Joe joined us We officially had Brannan dedicated to the Lord on Sunday. At First Baptist, the ceremony takes place after the second service. We knew this timing was going to be a challenge because Brannan is usually ready to eat and nap right after church. It was done very nicely.. They called all the parent's and children being dedicated out and then had some special music and then a short sermon. We were sent home with a New Testament (baby) bible, a certificate and some of Dr. Stanley's parenting books and audio books. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates. (Deut 6-9) |
