Wow, I cannot believe my Madelyn is going to be 7 on Monday!!!!!!!!! Ever since Halloween and her dressing up as a Southern Belle, she had the idea of having a tea party for her birthday party. Her mom, loving to plan parties, especially girlie ones, was all in! Chasing Fireflies had the most precious paint-your-own-tea sets so we ordered one for each girl and that was going to be the craft. We also had to get everyone hats, gloves, and boas (Madelyn said what tea party was good without them..). We had tea sandwiches, cookies, scones, fruit kabobs, a yummy sherbert punch (I knew the girls really wouldn't drink the tea), and cupcakes with pearls. Madelyn insisted there being a couple of games (even though it was a tea party)..and with the short amount of time left we had a sugar cube relay race (think egg and spoon pass relay) and then we had a contest to see you could build the tallest structure with sugar cubes in 2 minutes..without falling. The girls had a delightful time!

Looks like you did a great job! Madelyn corrected me when I told her "her mommy did a good job setting things up" She said, "Umm, well actually...if it weren't for my ideas, it would have just been a tea party...I don't even like tea...I mean I like sweet tea, but she wont let me drink sweet tea" haha! I told her she'll have to come to Aunt Shawna's and drink Uncle Daron's SWEET tea :) Love yall!
