Wow! Time flies when you're having fun! I cannot believe Haley turned four this past Wednesday! We celebrated first by going swimming at the gym pool after school, eating pizza and ice cream sundaes (all at Haley's request) and then the kids went to AWANAs where they also celebrated her there. She had a GREAT, special day!
For Haley's party, she couldn't decide what kind of party she wanted..first it was a circus theme, then candyland, then "Rock-Star" (still not sure about that one?). Anyway, we did a bunch of bright colors, lots of sugary candy, and lots of fun playing games and jumpin! We had only 4 friends (she chose) because there was so many friends to invite within our homeschool group, our church, AWANAS, neighborhood friends.. I had to draw the line and a friend had given me the idea of having the # of kids for the age they were turning so it worked out great!
I'm not sure I ranked high on the mom's list of "where to send their kids" but I KNOW the kids enjoyed eating all the junk they did! They started with making Lifesaver necklaces, which ended up being messy by the end of the party), then we filled bags of candy as if they were in a candy store, ate yummy sprinkled cupcakes and more candy. Then it was time to burn some sugar so we jumped on the bouncy (my, how we've gotten so much use out of this thing since we bought for Bentley when he was little), we played simon says, rode bikes, Power Wheels, had scooter races, you name it, we did it! The kids were beat (so was I) and Haley had an AWESOME party!
