Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

Last Saturday, after the kids soccer games (I somehow managed to forget my camera for them) we headed to Colorado Springs to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.  It is a super cool zoo located at the foot of the mountains (which means you also get a great workout while walking around there).  All of us concluded that our favorite part was feeding the giraffes.  We look forward to going back soon!

Eagerly waiting for food

They are definitely not scared of you

EW..look how long their tongues are!

He apparently wanted more

Cute little baby

Beggin'.  Look like our dogs at dinner time

LOL!! Snuggling

The view from the zoo

Friendly little guy

Would hate to encounter this thing in the wild

Tina the Turtle

yuck!!! hissing beatles!

Helping transfer them so the cage can be cleaned

Brannan wanted to hold one to BUT we were afraid he'd squish it so he could only touch

Peacocks were everywhere (the funny thing, is they did have an enclosed area for them but they escaped)

Choo-choo ride

This pic is for Will and Faith..the kids' fellow frog hunters:)

These guys loved Brannan!  They would continously poke at the window at him.  Guess they think he's one of them...maybe he is:)
