We started off a couple of days before Bentley's birthday attending our first Adventure Club. We had a scientist come and show us many different science experiments which included many chemical mixtures which led to fire and large bubbles..just to name a few. The kids had also been working hard on their science presentaton about which they were going to give during the second hour of this event. We had been studying Brazil and did a diorama on the rainforest and the different levels of a forest. It turned out great!
That evening we were surprised by my mother!! It was such a great birthday gift! This year instead of having a birthday party, Bentley chose to fly one of his buddies from ATL here to celebrate with him. The celebration began with a steak dinner topped off with Pumpkin Cheesecake per Bentley's request.
Saturday morning, we got up and headed out for Madelyn's soccer game and then ventured on over to CO Springs to a childhood favorite of mine...Santa's Workshop at the North Pole (at the base of Pike's Peak). The kids loved it as much as I remembered. It was a fabulous weekend!
