While my mom was here, the kids wanted to go to a pumpkin patch and well, we ended up not just at a pumpkin patch but a farm! We were each able to pick 5 bags of veggies..onions, potatoes, carrots, popping corn, corn on cob and pumpkins. We had a blast doing this and it was a great educational experience for the kids too. Not only was there veggies to pick but there were tractor races, corn mazes, playground equipment, and a huge bouncy for kids to play on.
When we got back that evening, we thought we'd lost our mind picking that many veggies! It was ALOT!! Don't worry though, Nana took home several baskets to grandparents, Mandy and for themselves to blanche and freeze for later use. We'll be eating stew and baked potatos for days:-)
